"Surprisingly easy to use"
I wasn’t expecting much, but it’s simple and actually works well. It’s not the fanciest thing out there, but it gets the job done without making things complicated...

"I honestly love how customizable my blog feels"
I’ve been using tumblr for years now, the thing I still like the most is how much you can customize your blog. Like, you can switch themes, mess around with colors, add pages, and just kind of make it feel like your own little space on the internet. The theme code stuff can be a little confusing at first, not gonna lie, but once you start getting used to it, it’s actually fun. It just feels way more personal than a lot of other social sites, you know?

"Great for finding weird gems, but the feed can be a mess"
I still like Tumblr for stumbling across random art, fandom posts, and tiny niche blogs I probably wouldn’t find anywhere else. When the tags are working right, it feels like one of the few places online that still rewards people just making cool stuff for the sake of it.
That said, the discovery side can be uneven. Some days it shows me great posts, and other days it’s just repeats or stuff that has nothing to do with what I follow. It’s not awful, but if a platform wants people to trust its recommendations, it should do a better job not wasting their time.

"Still a fun and dependable place to scroll"
I’ve been using tumblr for years, it’s been a solid part of my everyday scrolling. Most of the time everything loads smoothly, posting is easy, and if there’s ever a little glitch, it usually sorts itself out fast. It’s just a comfortable, reliable app that I still enjoy coming back to.

"Fun community, but I’d ease in carefully"
I’ve had some genuinely good chats here, and when you find the right people it can be really enjoyable. That said, a few groups did feel a bit cliquey, so I’d recommend testing the waters first and not sharing too much until you get a better feel for the vibe.

"My feed kinda actually understands me"
Tumblr’s feed is, like, weirdly good at figuring me out. It keeps putting fandom posts, art blogs, and random funny stuff in front of me that I actually do care about, which is not always a thing on other apps. It’s not perfect every time or anything, but most of the time it feels way more relevant. Scrolling on there is somehow chill again, if that makes sense.

"I’ve been on and off Tumblr for..."
I’ve been on and off Tumblr for years. Mostly sketches, moodboards, and dumb late-night thoughts. It just feels easier there. Less pressure.

Yeah, it’s still buggy sometimes. And goofy. But the art side keeps pulling me back. People actually understand niche stuff there.

"The Ads Worked Better Than I Expected"
I ran a small ad just to test things out, and it did better than I thought it would. My brother even asked me what I used after seeing the clicks come in. Everything was smooth too, no weird issues or headaches.

"Pretty good control over adult content"
I think Tumblr does a good job with adult content now. It doesn’t just pop up everywhere, and you can adjust the settings depending on what you want to see. The labels are helpful too. It feels fair because people can still post more grown-up stuff, but it’s easier to avoid if you’re not into it. No real complaints from me.

"Pretty fair moderation overall"
I’ve been on Tumblr for years, the moderation has usually felt reasonable to me. When something is clearly spammy, harmful, or just making the place worse, it tends to get handled without too much drama.

What I appreciate is that it doesn’t feel like every odd or messy post gets instantly punished. People can still be funny, personal, weird, or a little chaotic, which is kind of the whole point of Tumblr.

It’s not flawless, and I’ve definitely seen a few things slip through or get handled a bit oddly, but nothing that ruins the experience for me. Compared with a lot of other platforms, it feels safe while still being relaxed...

"I’ve been on tumblr forever, and lately..."
I’ve been on tumblr forever, and lately the spam and bot situation does feel way more under control. I still get the occasional sketchy follow that makes me go, “okay, what are you trying to sell me,” but reporting it is painless and most of the junk seems to disappear fast. My dash has been a lot cleaner, which is all I wanted. Still a little suspicious, but I’ll take the improvement.

"Still my favorite place to control what I share"
I’ve been using Tumblr on and off for years, i’m probably a little biased because I’ve always liked the vibe there more than most social apps. One thing I really appreciate is how easy it is to keep my blog more private when I want to. Blocking people, filtering tags, hiding likes or follows, and turning off search visibility are all straightforward to find.

Deleting posts or changing what other people can see also doesn’t feel like some exhausting battle with the platform, which is a huge plus for me. It’s definitely not perfect, but compared to a lot of other apps, Tumblr makes me feel like I actually have some control over my own space. Easy 5 stars from me.
